My smallest tripod, for fixed tripod photography:

Monopod, which is not useful for astrophotography in fact.
A taller but yet very compact tripod:
A bigger ball head:
The following two forms the EQ mount for imaging, but these two still require a ball head at least, plus a tripod. It's even heavier than the weight of bringing one more tent if I go for camping.
Let's see if I could fine an even lighter tripod!!!
